Love is the law...Living with self the punishment
So sad... people with power over other humans think they can use that power to line their pockets and those of their like minded friends while so many have so little.... no one will ever know....and they'll never be able to prove it.......ther was a kind old man who had saved a great amount of money over his life time of work. he lived in a humble house with his family and next door he built a large building in which he feed and sheltered those who were in a time of need. many people passed through over the years and many came back years later to donate time and money to help because they remembered his help and kindness, he touched many lives in his life time but he felt his time to pass was close. He had three sons and he needed to figure out who would get the bulk of his inheritance and keep his work going in the spirit he started. he gathered them together and told them he would be having a very special dinner tonight, he gave them each a chicken and told them to "Go, find a place where no one will see you, kill and pluck the chicken and bring it back to the kitchen. It is important that no one see you this will be a special dinner for all our guests next door."
The oldest son took the chicken to the side of the house, took a look around, there were a few people sitting against the house for the poor next door, "surely they don't matter they are just stupid poor people, here only because of all the money my father spends to keep them. When my father is dead it will all be mine as I am the eldest then that huge shelter can be my house in great style!" So he yelled at them to close their eyes and he twisted the chickens head off, threw a couple coins and the chicken in the direction of the aitters and yelled, "Pluck this and take it to the kitchen and tell no one or I'll see that you sleep in the cold tonight!" and he took off to the tavern to see his friends.
The second son thought it strange, but all ways did as his father asked he was a good obedient child, but he didn't much like getting his hands dirty to say nothing of the blood. He went to town to the butcher shop where is father did much buisness to feed the poor at his house. He told the butcher that he needed to have this chicken killed and plucked and to just put it on his fathers account. The butcher grabbed up his cleaver and laid the chicken's head on his block, stop the son said I almost forgot no one can see this you must take it in the back in case someone should come in.
"I can't do it back there, that's where I live it would make a big mess."
"If you don't do as I say I will have all my father's business transferred to the butcher down the street and tell the whole town your meat is bad."
The butcher knew it would put him out of business, he had no choice. The son took the chicken with a snide comment that the mess would not even be noticed and left.
The third son took his chicken and set off to find a place where no one would be able to see him. From time to time during the day people would see him walking from here to there with his chicken tucked under his arm muttering to himself and looking about. As the dinner hour neared the father and his two older sons gathered for the predinner prayers wondering where the youngest of them was. Soon he appeared with tears in his eyes and a chicken under his arm, he went to his father saying "Father I have failed terribly with your trust and your task, I covered miles and miles today but I could not kill the chicken. No matter where I tried to hide I was always being watched by God"
The father had found the one he was looking for to continue his work on earth.

~~Always Enjoy life~~
There was a Samuri who was running from a bear - suddenly, he fell off a cliff and caught onto a branch. He noticed that the bear had followed him and was swiping at him, just inches from his head. He looked down to see a lion swiping at him, just inches from his feet. There were a pair of gophers gnawing at the branch, his very lifeline.. He looked past the gophers to see three strawberries, and in the middle, the biggest, juiciest, and ripest one he'd ever seen. He reached with his free hand and got the strawberry. Taking his time he ate the strawberry, his last words before the gopher gnawed the branch down were: "ahh, delicious."
Makes you think, don't it? ( I know I know, grammar mistakes all around )

I could never kill a chicken either - nor eat it :)
Love should extend to all living things, respect for both the animate & inanimate, and compassion for all. Above all, one must be true to oneself.
Nice story :)
